Q039error

Too many directive lines

A query header has more directive lines than the parser will read.

db/queries/example.sql:1:1: error[Q039]: directive header exceeded 10000 logical lines and was truncated
Printed by sgl from a small PostgreSQL reproduction project.

When it is reported

A defensive limit, set well above any real header, so malformed or hostile input cannot cause unbounded work.

How to fix it

Split the query, or remove stray comment lines that look like directives.

In your terminal

$ sgl explain Q039

Look for DirectiveLineLimit in Seagull's source to see where it is reported.
